ARMY BOXING CHAMPIONS
The "Fighting Tenth" 10 Regiment RCT became this year’s Army
Boxing Champions when they beat the UK finalists,
1 Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 23 February 1973 and became the holders of the King’s
Trophy.
This was the climax of eighteen months of preparation and hard training
during which a number of eminent boxing
regiments were beaten and 10 Regiment’s team were seen in action on
German TV.
