2. John Heley Darlington Kendrick , b. __-___-1865 in Manchester,^{^[4]} d. __-___-1933 in Manchester.^{^[5]} I could not find John in the national births register (St Catherine Index) I am in possession of a copy of his marriage certificate and I can only make a guess at everything prior to his marriage in 1885. He claims he was 20 when he married Alice Griffith, Alice was also 20. Both families lived in Hewitt Street Manchester England. The marriage took place in the Parish church on 7 Sep. His father James is entered on the certificate and is shown as deceased. During my research in the 1881 census I discovered a Kenrick family living very close to the Griffith family. I have assumed that the John who is shown in the 1881 census to be John Healy Darlington Kendrick and he is shown as being the correct age. As a result I have now attached that family group to my chart as seen above. I hope I have got it right this time, however, I now have a name spelling problem. Is the spelling on the 1881 census a mistake and should really be spelt Kendrick I don't expect I will ever know.

He married AlICE GRIFFITHS , married 07-SEP-1885 in Chorlton Manchester,^{^[6]} b. __-___-1865 in Leatherhead Kent,^{^[7]} (daughter of Francis Griffiths and Harriet Griffiths ) d. __-___-1930 in Manchester.^{^[8]} AlICE: Date of birth estimated from marriage certificate. One of these two people from the St Catherine index could be Alice Griffiths I am researching but I am not sure. Manchester 1865 8d 187 3rd qtr. Or Chorlton 1865 8c 674 1st qtr. The only way I can positively know is to purchase the birth certificates of each entry. I have found on the 1881 census a Alice which I think is the right person. I will be checking it out on the st Catherines Index.

3. Rachel Kendrick , b. 17-JUL-1893 in Corlton Manchester, d. __-___-1935 in Manchester.^{^[10]} Rachel Married Earnest Pacey and gave birth to Lucy, and Lily. After the war Rachel met Samual Booth and gave birth to Francis, Sam, John, Gurtie, James, Kenneth, Alice, Thomas, Rachel.

She married^{^[11]} (1) Ernest E Pacey , married 18-MAY-1912 in Parish Church Gorton Manchester,^{^[12]} b. __-___-1888 in Manchester. Ernest: Earnest Pacey returned from the 1st World War to find Rachel had set up home with Samuel Booth. Rachel could not leave Samuel. Ernest Pacey went of and set up home with someone else. His children Lucy and Lily still kept contact.

Partner Samuel Booth , b. 31-MAR-1883 in Mossley Ashton,^{^[13]} (son of John Booth and Jane Milhench ). Samuel: Samuel booth came back from the war to discover Eliza his girlfriend having an affair with his brother Fred. Samuel left the area and met up with Rachel whom he set up home with and had his other children. He was employed in the Cotton mills, his hobby was clog dancing and used to spend his spare time Clog dancing. Rachel died at the age of 41, she had 11 Children in all. Two from her marriage to Earnest Pacey, and nine with Samuel Booth.

I do not know if it has some bearing on Lucy mother Rachel. Farmer Skidmore in the dingle. From Mount road to Rumford street. Mother was caretaker of the lodging house. Lucy is buried with her first husband George in Southern Cemetery Manchester.

7. Francis Booth , b. 03-SEP-1919 in Ashton,^{^[32]} d. 10-Aug-1988 in Tile Hill Coventry,^{^[33]} buried: in Coventry.

He married Mavis Amor , married 16-Feb-1942 in Igatpuri India,^{^[34]} b. 24-Apr-1925 in Igatpuri India,^{^[35]} (daughter of Jack John Amor and Rose D'cunha ).

She married John Curtlin , married 22-Sep-1962 in Coventry, b. 23-Sep-1939 in Coventry.

13. Colin Booth , b. 15-Mar-1945 in Deolali India. Parent did not register the birth so there is no birth certificate. The only proof of nationality is from parents marriage certificate. There is a record of baptism held at the British library Oriental and India Office collections.

He married Anne Waterfield , married 16-Dec-1963 in Coventry,^{^[36]} b. 12-Dec-1944 in Yeovil,^{^[37]} (daughter of Richard Arthur Waterfield and Thelma J Wheeldon ).
